The county court of Eau Claire county appointed a guardian for'Sylvester M. Gardner, a World 'War *491veteran, on the ground that he was an insane person. The State Board of Control, pursuant to sec. 49.10, Stats., filed a claim in the guardianship proceedings for the cost of maintaining the veteran in the hospital for the criminal insane since his transfer thereto by the board upon its finding that he was insane. The court allowed the claim at the amount of $3,234.56. The appellants contend that the veteran was kept in the hospital…
