George W. Latimer, Judge:

The accused was tried and convicted by general court-martial of absence without leave in violation of Article 86, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 50 USC § 680, and larceny in violation of Article 121, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 50 USC § 715. He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, total forfeitures, and confinement for one year. The convening authority approved, but reduced the confinement to six months, and suspended both the punitive discharge and that portion of the confinement in excess of two months.
