Hunt, Justice.
Rudy Brown shot and killed his girl friend, Patricia Phillips with a handgun. He was convicted of malice murder and sentenced to life in prison. He appeals, enumerating as error the sufficiency of the evidence, the trial court’s striking of a juror for cause, the process of jury selection, as violative of Batson v. Kentucky, 476 U. S. 79 (106 SC 1712, 90 LE2d 69) (1986), and the trial court’s refusal to give two of his requested jury instructions.
