KONENKAMP, Justice.

[¶ 1.] Defendant appeals his convictions for attempted first degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault. We affirm.

Background

[¶ 2.] Abraham Sandal was scheduled to work at Wal-Mart in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at 11:00 p.m. on January 7, 2005. He decided to go to work around 10:00 p.m. that evening because he wanted an extra hour of work.
