The Court considers the factual basis for defendant Kevin Campfield’s guilty plea to the offense of second-degree reckless manslaughter in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:ll-4(b). This case arose from the death of Ivory Bennett, an acquaintance of defendant, on January 17, 2006. By defendant’s admission, following an evening of alcohol consumption, Bennett sustained a head injury and lost consciousness after falling during an attempt to escape from defendant, who was pursuing him.
