HARTY, Judge:

A special court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members convicted the appellant, contrary to his pleas, of failure to go to his appointed place of duty and assault consummated by a battery, in violation of Articles 86 and 91, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 886 and 891. A different panel of officer and enlisted members sentenced the appellant to 2 months confinement, reduction to pay grade E-l, forfeiture of $521.00 pay per month for 2 months, and a bad-conduct discharge.
