Teel v. May Department Stores Co.

Action for $20,000 actual and $20,000 punitive damages for false imprisonment. The jury returned a verdict for defendants and plaintiff has appealed. At a former trial, plaintiff obtained a verdict for $500 actual and $500 punitive damages, upon which a judgment for a $1000 was entered, and all of the parties appealed.
