The plaintiff and the defendant Dr. William R. Lamb were married in October, 1893, at Providence, R. I. In Hovember, 1895, they separated, and, at the time of the commencement of this action, in February, 1896, they were living apart from each other. The-plaintiff and her brother, Elwell T. Fisher, inherited from their father, who died in 1891, thirty-four vacant lots at Flatbush, which were valued at about $18,000, and which were subject to the dower right of their mother, Mary A. F.
