STEWART, Justice.

The Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee of the State Bar of Texas (the Committee) sued Ron Brown and Ron Brown and Associates (referred to collectively in the singular as “Brown”); the Committee sought a declaration that certain acts and practices engaged in by Brown constituted the practice of law; the Committee also sought injunctive relief.
