Between seven and eight o’clock on the evening of July 9,1930, the body of John E. Green was found beside his automobile in a garage rented by him in the rear of No. 236 S. 54th Street, Philadelphia. The hood over the engine was raised, tools were scattered around and Green was wearing overalls when his death, admittedly caused by accidentally inhaling carbon monoxide gas, occurred.
