This is an appeal from a decree of the court of chancery, on a bill for maintenance filed by the respondent against the appellant. The parties were married in the city of New York, on August 10th, 1885, and a few days afterward the appellant left his wife and removed to the State of Colorado, and in December *679of the same year went to Kansas, where he has ever since continued to reside. The respondent was, at the time of her marriage, and still is, a resident of this state.
