The defendant, Edward 0. Rose, was found guilty by a jury, of attempted burglary, and was sentenced to from three to six years in a penitentiary. He has appealed to this court, urging reversal of his conviction on the grounds that he was not proven guilty beyond all reasonable doubt; that the trial court erred in allowing the prosecution to impeach the defendant by introduction and improper use of a prior conviction; and that the trial court erred in not allowing the defense to impeach Lucille R Smith, a prosecution witness, by use…
