As will be seen in a-former decision in this ease, 40 W. Va. 611, Maria Ward died seized of a hotel property known as the “Ward House” in Grafton, leaving six children, to whom it descended, and one of the coparceners, L. E. Ward, brought a chancery suit in the circuit court of Taylor County having for its purposes a sale of the property on the ground of its insus-ceptibility of partition, and compensation to him for improvements made upon the property adding to its value.
