OPINION
MAY, Judge.
Antwonna Smith was convicted after a jury trial of Class D felony theft 1 and Class D felony resisting law enforcement. 2 Resisting law enforcement is a Class A misdemeanor, but when Smith committed the offense it could be enhanced to a Class D felony if the person “inflicts bodily injury on or otherwise causes bodily injury to another person.” Ind.Code § 35-44.1-3-1.
