— The plaintiff brought this suit in the circuit court of the city of St. Louis against the defendants, to recover $30,000' damages for personal injuries sustained by him on J anuary 17, 1905', through the alleged negligence of the defendants. A trial was had before the court and a jury, which resulted in a verdict and judgment for the plaintiff against the defendant Railway Company for the sum of $20',000', and in a verdict and judgment in favor of the defendant Iron & Foundry Company.
