OPINION OF THE COURT

SCHREIER, Judge:

Pursuant to mixed pleas, a military judge convicted appellant of using cocaine on divers occasions, possessing drug paraphernalia, and dishonorably failing to pay a just debt. Articles 112a, 92, and 134, UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. §§ 912a, 892, and 934 (1988). The adjudged sentence was a bad-conduct discharge (BCD), confinement for 12 months, forfeiture of $400 pay for 12 months, and reduction to E-l. The convening authority commuted the BCD to an additional 24 months confinement and forfeitures of $400 pay per month for 35 months, and approved the reduction and…
