SHEPHERD, Circuit Judge.

After a shooting and two car chases, officers of the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department arrested several members of a crack cocaine distribution ring. Two of the ring members, Carlos Brandon and Dayron Johnson, are before us to challenge their convictions and sentences of life imprisonment. Brandon was convicted of conspiracy to distribute cocaine base, possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, and possession of firearms in relation to a drug trafficking crime.
