During an adjudicatory hearing conducted in the circuit court of Bureau County, the respondent, S.L.C., a minor, admitted to having committed the offenses of burglary (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, par. 19—1(a)), felony theft (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, par. 16—1(d)(1)), and misdemeanor theft (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, par. 16—l(a)(l)). He was found to be a delinquent and was adjudged a ward of the court. A dispositional hearing was subsequently held in Henry County, the county in which the minor resided. (Ill. Rev.
