In March 1987, the respondent minor, born November 9, 1972, was placed on a period of 18 months’ probation pursuant to proceedings on a supplemental delinquency petition. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 37, par. 704 — 1 (now Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 37, par. 805 — 13).) In February 1988, a petition to revoke the minor’s probation was filed alleging criminal damage to property having a value in excess of $300. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 21 — 1(a).)
