On September 18, 2015, Plaintiff Wanda J. Wright, appearing pro se , filed suit in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia against her former employer, the National Railroad Passenger Corporation ("Amtrak"), and her union, Amtrak Police Fraternal Order of Police New Jersey Lodge 189 ("FOP"). Plaintiff claimed that she was wrongfully terminated after sustaining work-related injuries and that FOP breached its duty of fair representation.
