OPINION

SHEA, Justice.

This case is before the court on plaintiff’s appeal from a judgment of the Superi- or Court granting the defendant’s motion for summary judgment. We affirm.

In March 1982 a departmental hearing was convened before a State Police Board of Officers to hear charges brought against plaintiff by defendant Walter E. Stone, in his capacity as superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police. The charges stemmed from an alleged attempted larceny and larceny under $500.
