STOUGHTON, J.

The petitioner, Michael Reddick, appeals from the denial of certification to appeal and from the dismissal of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. We affirm the habeas court’s denial of the petition for certification to appeal and dismiss the petitioner’s appeal.

On February 28, 1991, the petitioner was convicted, after a jury trial, of robbery in the second degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-135.
