This is a criminal case involving sexual abuse against a minor child by a family member. Appellant’s primary issue on appeal is that the definition of “family member” in § 3-602 of the Criminal Law Article of the Maryland Code (2002, 2006 Cum.Supp.) 1 is unconstitutionally vague because of its broad definition of the term “family member.” Appellant further argues that, because he does not fall within the definition of “family member” if the definition is construed to avoid an unconstitutional construction of the statute, there was not sufficient evidence to convict him of child sexual abuse.…
