DECISION AFTER TRIAL TO DETERMINE DISCHARGEABILITY OF MATRIMONIAL OBLIGATION

The debtor’s ex-wife seeks to have $1,000,000 in payments due her pursuant to a Separation Agreement declared nondis-chargeable as support pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 523(a)(5). We find nondischargeable only so much of the unpaid balance of that portion of the $1,000,000 marital obligation as may be necessary to provide the debtor’s ex-wife with $100,000 a year in support for life and reserve for further hearing a determination of the amount necessary to purchase or guarantee such…
