1. The relation of patient and physician is a confidential one, and where, in curetting a womb, it becomes necessary, in order to effect a successful result, to insert a pessary, a duty devolves upon the physician to inform the patient within a reasonable time of the use of the pessary, and direct her as to when it should be removed.
