Plaintiff-Appellant Janice Harbin Joseph (“Joseph”), the representative of the estate of her deceased brother Ricardo Harbin (“Harbin”), appeals the district court’s grant of summary judgment in favor of Defendant-Appellee City of Detroit (“the City”) on Joseph’s claim, brought *567under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, that the City violated Harbin’s rights under the Constitution by failing to provide or secure adequate medical attention for him while he was in the custody of the Detroit Police Department (“DPD”).
