This is an application for a peremptory writ of mandamus. The relator, Harry B. Weatherwax, makes the application as a citizen of the state and a resident of the city of Albany. The petition asks for a writ of mandamus directed to James B. Watt, as mayor of the city of Albany, requiring him to enforce within the city of Albany those provisions of section 26 of the Transportation Corporations Law which prohibit bus lines or any vehicles carrying passengers at a rate of fare of fifteen cents or less for each passenger within the limits of the city from operating along the streets of the city…
