OPINION AND ORDER

MARSH, Chief Judge.

This diversity action involved a two car accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, at about 5:00 P.M. on August 15, 1965. Two of the plaintiffs, Jeanne Treharne and her minor son, William, were proceeding westward in a Volkswagen bus-type vehicle. The Volkswagen collided with the rear of a Buick automobile proceeding in the same direction in which Howard Callahan and his wife, Caroline, were occupants.
