V. V. Harris, president and manager of the corporation, and the payee named in the notes, had assigned the notes to the corporation and was made a party to the suit. For convenience V. V. Harris will hereinafter be referred to as plaintiff and Fox Wood and the deceased Elmer S. Wood will- be referred to as defendants.
