I. INTRODUCTION

This case is before us on remand from our Supreme Court, which vacated our original judgment and remanded to this Court for reconsideration in light of Washington v Sinai Hosp of Greater Detroit, 478 Mich 412; 733 NW2d 755 (2007), and Braverman v Garden City Hosp, 480 Mich 1159 (2008).
