The plaintiff, whose maiden name was Emma Stumma, had known George Hardwick all his life, and, after a few months’ courtship, married him in the fall of 1895. As his mother was dead, it was arranged that they should live in the home of his father, the defendant, and, according to plaintiff’s story,- all went well for several years, until she objected to doing the work for John, her husband’s brother. Then their troubles began, and finally culminated in the separation from her husband, which she attributes to the improper influence of defendant over his son. The evidence tends to sustain this…
