MortgageAmerica Corp. appeals from the district court order dismissing its appeal on the merits from a bankruptcy court judgment in favor of Bache Halsey Stuart Shields, Inc. We affirm.

In late 1980, MortgageAmerica Corp. (“MAC”) entered into numerous oral reverse repurchase agreements with Bache Halsey Stuart Shields, Inc. (“Bache”). Under the terms of these agreements, MAC delivered sixteen Government National Mortgage Association (“GNMA”) bonds to Bache in negotiable form; Bache then loaned MAC money, holding the sixteen bonds as collateral.
