This was a proceeding under the workmen’s compensation act.

The city of St. John owns and operates an electric light, power and distribution system. Harry Brenn, who had been an employee, was electrocuted on March 18, 1937. He left surviving his widow and five children, then minors of the following respective ages: 17, 15, 14,12 and 5 years. No guardian was appointed until November 19, 1937, when the mother was appointed, and within a few days she filed a claim for compensation on behalf of her wards, but not individually.
