This is an appeal from a judgment dismissing a civil rights action by a convict against the court-appointed attorney who conducted his state court defense. We affirm.

In 1974, the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court convicted Plaintiff-Appellant Simmons of first degree murder. At the time, his attorney was Robert Zibilich, Defendant-Appellee in this case. Zibilich had made his services available to the court as a volunteer with the Orleans Parish indigent defender board pursuant to La.Rev.Stat.
