I. INTRODUCTION

Plaintiff Solvay, S.A. (“Solvay”) brought suit against defendant Honeywell Honeywell International Inc. (“Honeywell”) asserting, inter alia, infringement of U.S. Patent No. 6,730,817 (“the '817 patent”).1 (D.I. 1) The parties cross-moved for summary judgment on the issues of infringement and validity of the '817 patent.
