FLETCHER, Judge:

On November 17, 1982, appellant was tried before a general court-martial composed of a military judge alone. Pursuant to his pleas, he was found guilty, inter alia,1 of forgery, in violation of Article 123(2), Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 923(2),2 and conduct unbecoming an officer, in violation of Article 133, UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. § 933. The military judge sentenced him to dismissal from the armed forces, confinement at hard labor for 1 year and 1 day, and total forfeitures.
