¶ 1. We review the recommendation of the referee, Richard M. Esenberg, that Alan D. Eisenberg's petition seeking the reinstatement of his license to practice law in Wisconsin be denied. Although the referee found that Attorney Eisenberg's conduct during the term of his suspension has been exemplary, that he has fully complied with the terms of the suspension order, and that he has maintained compe*580tence and learning in the law during the suspension, the referee nevertheless recommended against granting the petition for reinstatement because he concluded Attorney Eisenberg has not proven by…
