| ,This is a criminal appeal. Abram Major appeals his conviction for felon in possession of a firearm and the related sentence. For the reasons that follow, we affirm the conviction and sentence.

STATEMENT OF THE CASE

On June 27, 2007, the State charged Abram Major with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of La. R.S. 14:95.1. On August 6, 2007, Mr. Major was arraigned and pled not guilty. On October 2, 2007, the trial court denied his motion to suppress the evidence and found probable cause for the arrest.
