Defendant was convicted of assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. He challenges those convictions primarily on the ground that Supreme Court’s rulings after a Sirois hearing, * allowing the People to introduce selective portions of the complaining witness’s grand jury testimony but denying defendant’s request to introduce additional grand jury testimony of that witness, deprived defendant of his constitutional rights to a fair trial and to present a defense.
