On April 24, 1991 at approximately 5:00 p.m., Robert J. Masone, plaintiff’s decedent, was killed when the car he was *658operating struck the rear of a bus which was stopped at a bus stop on Mamaroneck Avenue in the City of White Plains, Westchester County.
