During the evening of January 8, 1963, a railroad crossing accident occurred at the intersection of the Southern Pacific tracks and Seventeenth Street in Sparks, Nevada. A car driven by the plaintiff Harris collided with a diesel engine unit operated by the defendant Southern Pacific Company. The plaintiff sustained personal injuries and property damage.
