MEMORANDUM

ANITA B. BRODY, District Judge.

Plaintiff Paul E. Lyon brings this action on behalf of a proposed class against defendant Caterpillar, Inc. for violation of the Illinois Consumer Fraud Act (815 ILCS 505/1 et seq.) or various other states’ consumer fraud acts.1 Jurisdiction is predicated on diversity of citizenship.2 See 28 U.S.C. *209§ 1332. Now before me is plaintiffs motion for class certification. For the following reasons, I will deny plaintiffs motion.
