The Toll Bridge Authority Act (Ga. L. 1953, Jan.-Feb. Sess., p. 302), created a body corporate and politic to be known as the “State Toll Bridge Authority”, to be an instrumentality of the State of Georgia, to consist of three members to be appointed by the Governor. The Authority was given power to acquire by condemnation or purchase real property or easements, necessary to the purposes of the act, and to construct, erect, acquire, own, repair, maintain, extend and operate projects, to include one or more bridges together with the approaches thereto, the expense of such…
