I. Introduction
In this interlocutory appeal pursuant to C.A.R. 4.1 and section 16-12-102(2), C.R.S. (2009), the People seek reversal of a trial court ruling suppressing statements obtained during the custodial interrogation of defendant Chad Broder. The trial court ordered suppression after finding that Broder made an unambiguous response to a question of whether he wanted an attorney and that the subsequent questioning by the interrogating officer did not serupulously honor Broder's request for counsel.
