Tbe Hampton Eoads Sanitation District covers a wide area embracing as it does tbe cities of Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, and South Norfolk, tbe counties of Elizabeth City and Warwick, and portions of tbe counties of Princess Anne, Norfolk, Isle of Wight, Nansemond, and York. See Acts of 1940, chapter 407, section 3, page 731, as amended. Some funds have been provided by tbe State legislature for tbe operation of tbe commission and a large fund has been supplied by tbe Federal government for construction of tbe trunk lines, pumping stations and…
