OPINION OF THE COURT
GRAVELLE, Senior Judge:
In accordance with his pleas, the appellant was convicted of absence without leave, wrongful use of cocaine, and three specifications of larceny in violation of Articles 86, 112a, and 121, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 886, 912a, and 921 (1988) [hereinafter UCMJ]. A military judge sitting as a general court-martial sentenced him to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for thirty months, forfeiture of $500.00 pay per month for thirty months, and reduction to Private El.
