In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, the defendants Lido and Point Lookout Fire District and Matthew Thompson appeal from an order of the Supreme Court, Nassau County (DeMaro, J.), dated April 6, 2001, which denied their *647motion for summary judgment dismissing the complaint insofar as asserted against them.
Ordered that the order is reversed, on the law, with costs, the motion is granted, and the complaint is dismissed insofar as asserted against the appellants.
