The board of supervisors of Madison county exhibited its original bill in the chancery court of that county for the purpose of enjoining the further payment of any of the bonds issued by said county to the Vicksburg, Canton & Yazoo City Railroad Company. The gravamen of complainant’s bill is that these bonds are invalid because the subscription to the capital stock of said railroad company, and the issuing of the bonds were not made after two-thirds of the qualified voters had signified their assent thereto, as required by the constitution of the state and the act of the legislature passed in…
