— The plaintiff below, respondent here, instituted this action against the defendant Gr. W. Tanksley and the Pacific Fruit & Produce Company for the foreclosure of five farm labor liens upon certain potatoes, in the growing and handling of which labor was performed by the plaintiff himself and his assignors at the instance of the defendant Tanksley, the operator of the farm upon which the potatoes were raised. Plaintiff also sought in the alternative judgment for damages against the corporate defendant for its alleged eloignment of the potatoes, should it be found that they had been removed…
