Anna V. Church was indicted by the grand jury of Vermilion county and charged with forging the endorsement of Ida Moody to a county warrant for $30, dated June 15, 1926. The first count, which was nolled at the close of the People’s case, charged that the endorsement was forged with intent to defraud Ida Moody, and the second count, with intent to defraud Vermilion county. A motion to quash the indictment was overruled. Mrs. Church was found guilty by a jury and sentenced to the Illinois State Reformatory for Women at Dwight for a term of from one to fourteen years.
